To all my students, clients, readers, and other friends.
Those of you who have seen the air car (you can watch a number of films about it on youtube), or have seen the movie "Who Killed the Electric Car," (available through Amazon...but check to see if it's downloadable) I'd like your vote.
Please sign in and let me know which type of vehicle you think our new economy should cencentrate on developing.
I'll total the results periodically, let you know the status, and pass on your thoughts to the powers that be.
Let's hope we get lots of folks posting their opinions. Please tell your freinds.

I think that the electic car is the way of the future !!!

ReplyDeleteI think the idea of the car is neat and it would save us lots of money. But i do have to say that i dont like the way it looks!!
ReplyDeleteThe electric car is the car of the present, that was robbed from us by the greed of oil companies and all those who were faced with financial losses.
ReplyDeleteThe car of the future would be the Air Car.
However, the first step is for automakers to start making the EV1 again. Hybrid vehicles were only created to placate the oil companies and all those who had financial stakes in oil.
I personally don't care what the car looks like, with the money that I save on gas by driving the EV1 is definitely worth it.
The air car is really an amazing machine and would be wonderful after perfected. However, I foresee many blockades in its commercial production. 1. the govt. will see them as free riders because they don't pay any gas tax. 2. oil companies will use their pull for obvious reasons.
ReplyDeleteI could see the electric being more prominent at first. And even more so the plug-in hybrids that have small engines that generate the electricity.
We would need a breakthrough in production technology for hydrogen to work.
But I think we should focus more on biofuel that diesel engines can run on. The grease that cooks our food canalso run our vehicles.
Ethanol can be appropriate because the corn used to make ethanol is also able to make feedstock, just not food for humans.
But i feel the natural gas car should get more attention. The technology is here and is rather cheap, fuel efficient, and earth friendly.
I would have to vote for the Air Car. But what I really would want to see is a Hover Car. With a Hover Car, your car's alignment won't get messed up when you go over big pot holes. And you won't be stuck in the mud!!!! People say Flying Cars are the future but you need to crawl before you walk. So I think Hover Cars would be the first step in evenutally getting to having Flying Cars as the standard.
